Dental Technologies At SmileBay Dental
Modernised Approach To Traditional Issues
Dentistry has come a long way in terms of precision and comfort. With today’s technologies, dentists are well equipped to perform dental procedures. At SmileBay Dental, our team is always on the lookout for new technologies to provide our patients with cutting-edge dental treatments that can be performed in a more efficient, effective and comfortable manner.
3Shape TRIOS 3 Intra-oral Scanner
This “Best of Class” Technology award-winning scanner utilises optical scanning to obtain a 3D model of patients’ teeth and jaws without the mess and discomfort brought about by physical teeth impressions. On top of that, it offers a multitude of functions, such as digital smile design simulations, diagnostic aids, prosthesis designs, implant planning and much more. Our patients love the 3Shape just as much as our dentists as they can now visualise their own teeth on a large screen, which allows them to understand the condition of their own teeth a whole lot better.
Having the smallest scanning tip in its class, the CEREC Omnicam makes for comfortable and stress-free digital scans of patients’ teeth, without the mess and gagging associated with physical impression and moulding materials. It is no surprised that our SmileBay dentists and patients love this globally best-selling intraoral scanner so much.
Gemini 810 + 980 Diode Laser
Created for 30 different soft-tissue surgical procedures, the Gemini Diode Laser allows our dentists to do laser dentistry with a wide range of minimally invasive procedures on soft tissues, such as removal of excess and diseased gum tissues, laser gum therapy, frenectomy and exposure of unerupted teeth, just to name a few.
CEREC MC XL
With the capability to mill/grind porcelain blocks into strong and functional dental restorations in fewer than 15 minutes, the MC XL shortens the patient’s downtime from the conventional workflow of about one week to a few hours. Patients are able to get their crowns on the same day or the next, all thanks to the CNC technology in the MC XL. On top of that, the clear window provides an unobstructed view of the rapid machining process, which never ceases to amaze our patients.
A dental restoration does not only have to be strong; it has to look aesthetic and life-like as well. That’s where the SpeedFire comes in. As its name suggests, the SpeedFire sinters porcelain restorations in fewer than 15 minutes, as compared to conventional ovens that take hours! Sintering and glazing not only add a beautiful shine to simulate a tooth-like appearance, they increase the strength and longevity of the restoration as well.
Zirkonzahn CAD-CAM Machine
As a one-stop dental centre, SmileBay has our very own in-house dental laboratory, which is equipped with the Zirkonzahn CAD-CAM (Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing) system. With the combination of computer-controlled 5+1 axis milling chambers and integrated computer software, our in-house laboratory produces a wide range of dental prostheses ranging from crowns, bridges, night guards and implant restorations to full mouth zirconia prostheses.
A great smile is a confidence booster that can enhance one’s quality of life and brighten up the lives of those around them.
